Join us for this limited time donation-only yoga class. We will be exploring the benefits of Kundalini Yoga and how it can generate clarity of mind, openness of the heart, and vitality of the body. This style combines breathing (pranayama), chanting (mantra), postures (asana), and meditation; the result being increased awareness for ourselves and our environment. It is a healing style of yoga transforming our obstacles into sustaining life-force energy. This class is perfect for beginners as well as teachers who would like to bring more dynamic variety to their yoga classes.

About the instructor:
Miles Maeda has been a teacher of yoga and meditation for the past 16 years. He has developed practice centers in Chicago, San Diego, Portland and Long Beach, and has worked with students all over the world. Miles specializes in the practical application of yoga in daily life, creating with his students intentional focus in health, education, creativity and community.

What is Kundalini Yoga?
Brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan, this yoga emphasizes the combination of movement, mental focus and dynamic breathing to detoxify and strengthen the nervous system, to activate the will, and to connect oneself to a cosmic flow of energy. It is part of the Hatha Yoga family but works from the inside out, where most Hatha styles work from the outside in.
